Hey all,

Okay, so my site has disappeared. For half my users. *I* can't see the problem, so I'm having to ask them to check and re-check to see if I've fixed it yet.

They type in the url, they get a blank page. (NOT a 404)

Here's what I did:

I installed Monitor 2.

I made a change to Auto Theme while in that theme (big no-no) and I've asked in the support forums there but no reponse yet.

I made a bunch of changes to the Download module.

I tried creating a second Ephemerid module.

I've un-done every one of the above changes, and no luck.

However, when I changed my preferences back to the default theme, suddenly all (but one? not sure) of the users can view the site.

I'd really like Auto Theme back, but I don't know how to troubleshoot this.

I did try copying my Auto Theme folder, renaming the copy, and importing it as a new theme, but again - blank page.

And then there's the one (maybe more) user who can't see the site, no matter which theme it's in. Which makes me wonder if something's corrupted, but I don't know enough to even find a possible corruption - and as I said, the problem won't happen for me.

Thanks VERY much for any help you can give, and if anyone is up to being a tester please let me know,
-Sage

Ask that one user to delete his cookies

Thanks, I'll do that. I don't know how long it'll take to find out if that worked or not.

I found the old theme.cfg on my computer (saved before I made the change while in Auto Theme) and uploaded it but haven't had it tested yet.

Do you see a site, or a blank page?

*sigh* Thanks for checking.

I've changed over to the default theme. Any difference for you?

Okay - I went in, changed the theme to a non-AutoTheme, and everyone could see it except one person, I went in via myPHPAdmin and changed her theme choice, then had her delete her cookies, now everything is fine.

So are there any alternatives to AutoTheme? I lost the original files and so far no response on a new copy from the company.

Thanks,
-Sage

I found a tutorial on making your own themes and was able to customize a basic one to my preferences - which I prefer over AutoTheme anyway, because I have a lot more control this way. Never was able to get AutoTheme to work again, and the general consensus is that's probably due to a weird security update that my host did over the weekend.
