When I try to run admin.php for the first time I get all the following errors:
(conntest.php was successfull.)

Warning: main(language/lang-.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\mainfile.php on line 166

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'language/lang-.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\mainfile.php on line 166

Warning: get_lang(admin/language/lang-.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\mainfile.php on line 181

Warning: get_lang(): Failed opening 'admin/language/lang-.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\mainfile.php on line 181

Warning: head(themes//theme.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\header.php on line 31

Warning: head(): Failed opening 'themes//theme.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\header.php on line 31

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: themeheader() in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\header.php on line 47

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Make sure that the theme DeepBlue got transfered correctly to the themes folder. If that does not correct it, then search the forums on 'Call to undefined function: themeheader()' (no quotes and search all terms). This has been covered in depth before.

The first two errors:
Warning: main(language/lang-.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\mainfile.php on line 166

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'language/lang-.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in f:\apache2\htdocs\portimperial\mainfile.php on line 166

seem to be where my problem is b/c I received them when I tried to install the betaNC as well. I have done searches for previous discussions and am still going through them, but have not yet found anything useful.

Thank you,
Marc

PS: Again, sorry about the confusion of it being a cross post.

Make sure that the default language in config.php (using phpMyAdmin) is set to english.

It appears to be, but I get this message in phpmyadmin:
The $cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] directive MUST be set in your configuration file!

Not sure what that is refering to.

Any other ideas? I am still going through the archives of the forums..'

Yes, I just need to know what file I am editing. Not sure if I'm dealing with a mysql config file, php config file or phpmyadmin config file.

You're always editing MySQL files from the Admin panel. My point was just to see if it opened it up ok. Is this the DeepBlue theme? If not, does the DeepBlue theme work?

Ah, yes, it opens up just fine.

I am now working on the betaNC since it had fewer error messages during the first step of the install, and that does not have the deepblue theme at all.

You might want to post this in the bNC forum then.

Can you unlock the thread that I started so I don't have to start a new one?

Thank you,
Marc
