New User registration error

When a new user tries to register they get the following error after submitting their info. I had installed the signature editor which I thought was the only mod to usercp_register.php. I backed out the changes but am still having this problem.

I'm running 6.5 (Linux, mySQL installation) with all of the patches.

Any ideas or suggestions on what I could try?

This needs to be in tick marks would be my guess.

Turns out the data field was missing the surrounding ticks. That did the trick!
