Bugs Bunny.. he looks so one dimensional. Can you bring him into the third dimension with new age imaging? |

Mike, this could be a breeze for your talents. One of my mods at CCSP suggested the site use only static topic images since the dynamic cause a drain on users systems. Can you take the dynamic ones and make an image of the first or second frames?

IE, the AOL image would be cool with just the triangle in full frontal view. |

cause a drain on users systems???? Animated gifs have made a negligable difference to peoples systems since the K6-2 was released.
Most of the population use either Athlons or Pentiums these days. Athlons won't notice it in the least, and even pentiums can handle a few animated gifs on a site. (big AMD fan and big anti-Intel person here).
Flash animations still kill CPU processing time, but that's flash, not gifs.

There's really no way for me to sort of "extract' an animated gif's frames. Tha'ts not possible with the Software I use.
Animated gifs are really not in my list of talents. I can do them, but prefer the standard images myself.
The only animation I could muster up would be either some scroll, or flashy effect or fade in and out sort of animations.
Basic animation using the same image in each frame, just adjusting the size or placement or rotation of the image in each fram to give the illusion of animation...

Take your time... if you could static-ize the dynamic CCSP topic images that would be really nice. |

Looks like 18 of your topic images over at CCSP are animated. You want ALL the animated ones made static?
Also, I agree with AI. The users today use more advanced systems. Athlon XP's P4's and so on. Animated gifs are not going to have any noticable impact on the site load time or the users system resources or anything for that matter.
Yes Flash is a whole different story. But you can export Flash animation as animated gifs to get the same effect and leave the Flash behind...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? SHEESH..give an inch and you take a mile!!!
Just Kidding.
I can maybe have them done tonight..but no promises. I won't be able to work on anything tomorrow. Have a huge install to do at work...
TuNA,
Take your images and play with them in Fireworks. Looks like you have some good images to start with. Get my template for Fireworks a few posts back and use it to get an idea of making your Topic images. I would do more for you, but I don't have the time
As for everyone else posting requests for Topic images.
I can only do what I can. I am doing these images and others on my own time and out of the kindness of my heart. Please don't send me PM's requesting images and posting the same thing in here. That will just turn me off to your request. I hate people that are demanding or impatient..sorry, but I have standards..

Lets start a "Save MikeM's sanity" pit. Anybody who requests images from him gets thrown in it
just kiddin.
Mike, you've done a grand job for this and many other sites, and all we can do is extend our thanks to you again. All of us have responsibilities outside NukeCops and other PHP-Nuke sites we work on, and nobody expects you to drop what you're doing and work on something just for them.
Keep up the good work folks - and maybe have a go at designing ur own topic images b4 u start pestering Mike for them huh???
