I tried change the atricle text in my welcome message. Inserted
Code:
<H1.........>
around the first line of text in the interface.Now Welcome message and interface to edit and delete have disappeared totally.

How do I fix this?

I assume you mean you did this in the article text and not the script? Then, use phpMyAdmin and edit the table nuke_message directly.
