Why did phpnuke.org remove comments/forums?

To many people pissed off?

You can still leave comments in the download section, just click on a release and tell that dude how wrong he is.

The excuse given was that it was eating bandwidth, my opinion is that people got a little bitchy towards FB when they realised 6.7 was not going to be released to non-club members so he put a stop to it.

It wasn't even so much the stupid bitchiness (which was abundant). It was the posting, over and over and over again, of free mirrors for 6.7. We're talking serious vandalism, posting the same thing multiple times to each and every forum and news item. I'm sure that it saved on bandwidth too though... that stuff ain't free. I have one page, that if I took it out, would immediately reduce my monthly bandwidth by a good 20+ gig/month (I turn the page off after that point, but I estimate it'd chew up 80-100 gigs if left on), which would let me pay like $5/month for hosting instead of $20...

Yep Snarf your right. I saw the posts. But I was also a major opinionated yakker on his site as well. But I know thats not the reason. Its because people criticized FB, AND he wanted everything thrown into the club area to push for more cash. My opinion that is.
