I set the SMTP mail info in the phpbb forum in Nuke 8.0 but it will not send mail. The phpBB version is 2.0.20 which does not have a place to enter a specific port. My server uses a non-standard port and I think that is the problem. Any way around this?

phpNuke does not use the phpBB email settings (except for in the forums obviously). You'd have to go back to your PHP's local mail function and set that on the server.

I checked with support and they sail the php.ini file is set right but it still won't send. I checked to make sure the email address in nuke prefrences s valid and it is. I tried the analzye.php file to test it and it said it is working fine.. what else can I do?

Curious.. who are you using for a hosting company. I'm just recently experiencing an issue.

ok open

modules\Forums\includes\smtp.php

look for 25 this is the common port you can run this on 26 or what ever port you need to change this too

hope you find this usefull
