Approve_Membership Issue. Need a way to limit new members..

I had an issue with my server crashing and I managed to get my site back online with some backups of the files and .sql database. I had the Approve_Membership module working fine before the server crashed. Since the site has been back up I can't get "Approve_Membership" to work correctly. I tried reinstalling a few times now.

Here is what I have going on. When I go to my admin section or my site and click "Approve Membership" it gives me a blank page. That was my first clue I had an issue. Since then I tried to reinstall a new one. This version here "Approve_Membership6.1.6-7.6" When I do a new install it messes something up in my "Your_Account" folder. No one can login to the site. So I have to overwrite it with an old "Your_Account" folder backup I have. When doing the new install I also did, "newinstall61.php" and it said tables created successfully.

Does anyone know how I can fix this please ? I need a way to limit new members signing up on my site, and from what I understand this is my only option.

When you provide clean copies of the Your_Account and the module did you use the same version that worked before, I can't quite tell from your post but did you try and use an upgrade version?
