Wondered if anyone knew an answer to this.

When I post news that I have copied and pasted into both of the boxes in the news submission section I always end up with a big space between the two sections when it's posted. I have checked the html but there seems to be nothing that would cause this and it's driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

Is this a common problem? Should I just turn off the wysiwyg editor ?

Thanks

How big? The file modules/News/article.php does add two line breaks between the text

Looks like three or four line breaks. Either way the gap is too big. Is there a way to change it ?

What application are you copy/pasting from?

The reason I ask is I have seen MS Word files do some weird things, and adding a line break or 2 could be related.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter where I copy and past from. If I manually type the info in it's fine so there must be some sort of "hidden" tags that are causing the problem ?

Does anyone know exactly where in the modules/News/article.php the code for the line breaks are ?

Also i tried turning off the wysiwyg editor in the config.php file but even though it's set to off the editor still appears. I can't seem to get rid of it Sad
