Hey guys, I know this is an oldy... but its a goodie.

I have 2 new leads for everyone looking for a sweet ventrilo status module thats good with the current ventrilo 3.0.1

one is PNC 3.1
http://www.phpnuke-clan.com/index.php

This is an entire nuke prog, but it comes with a sweet vent block thats easy as pie to use. See it on my website www.3rdinfantry.us

the other is even nicer but I cant get it to work on my nuke site, I have seen others with it working though.

www.ventrilospy.net Check out the flash one while your there.

there support forums are located here.

http://board.nanospy.cc/viewtopic.php?id=7

I have also herd these guys have one but there websites down at the moment I posted this
www.nanospy.de/ventrilo/

hopfully those are some good leads for those who use ventrilo, all the good easy to find blocks that are out seem to be for teamspeak so those should help I.D. some good ventrilo ones

I got the block part figured out. Still working on the module. I will add the block to my site for downloads but it won't be for a day or 2. To see it work check out my site http://teamk1ll.com

I'm having the same problem as most. My ventrilo host is different from the webserver, so it can never establish a conneciton.

I couldn't get the one that Jerridwills provided, so I haven't checked that one. I tried American Wastelands, his also needs the ventrilo to be hosted on the same machine as the web host.

Is there any ventrilo block/module out there where Ventrilo does not have to be hosted on the web server?'

Actually you dont need to have them on the same machine with my module. My servers are not on the same machine. If you are able to spawn the ventrilo_status but not connect, chances are its a firewall issue with one or both of your hosts

I finaly got a module working for it. What I did is get a php to html module and made a html with the code from ventrilospy.net and did some resizing of the image in the html code. I'll put this up for a download on my site.

ventrilo spy is EXACTLY what i am looking for. it generates exactly what i had in mind, however:

When I copy and paste that code into a block, i get an error saying the html tags are not allowed.

how can i fix this.

BTW - Wow, this thread is almost three years old. hahaha.

Let me start out by saying nuke is my first cms, and I'm learning whatever I can. thewrathofages.com is my first website, and its coming along nicely if I do say so myself. This is my platform:
Apache version 1.3.39 (Unix)
PHP version 5.2.4
MySQL version 4.1.22-standard
Architecture x86_64
Operating system Linux
PHP-Nuke 7.9
I don't have any real guide or mentor in web development so I'm wingin it, and just trying to peice it all together; A lot of google and what have you. Any and all guidance from all levels of expertise appreciated.
Now to the point of ressurecting this thread. I searched the forums on nukecops and this is the most relevent I could come up with. I'm trying to get a phpnuke block up for my site. My vent is hosted on a seperate server from my webdomain. The "Third party utility Linux Ventrilo Script Version 2.1.0_02)" available at http://www.ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=301 bewilders me. Ventrilospy.net is apparently dead. I'm about to the point where I'm ready to swap over to teamspeak (where many phpnuke modules/blocks exist), botch the project altogether, or hire a consultant for assistance. I'd really like to make this happen, but I've turned about all the stones I can.

Ventrilo status block on the right - I've added it to the downloads section.

I hope others find this useful - I spent many hours trying to find something usable in PHP Nuke.
