Downloads mod help

Hi all,

I currently admin a clan website and want to mod the download section but I have no idea on how to go about it.

I can use sql and stuff fine but only know basics when it come's to php so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

It's a fairly simple mod(or i would think), I just want to be able to auto create a text file for users to download, all the file has to have in it is the URL of the download.

So for example I have a download
mappack.zip located at www.mysite.com/files/mappack.zip

I would like to have a link on the download module page for this file, that would allow the user to download a file called
"mappack.zip.loc" with the text
"http://www.mysite.com/files/mappack.zip" saved in the text file.

As I mentioned I fairly noob with php so not sure on how or even if I can get php to make this text file for me and I haven't been able to find anything online that could help me.

Have you tried NukeStyles EDL V2.1 download module for phpnuke.
you are running a nuke site?

yeah I'm running PNC Nuke,

I haven't heard of NukeStyles EDL V2.1, I'll have a look, thx movieman

your site is a postnuke or platinum nuke site. it will work with platinum but not postnuke.

it's a nuke/platinum nuke site PNC uses a bit of both. I checked around about NukeStyles very hard to find info but I found a copy, unfortunately wouldn't work for what i was wanting but in my travels did find some helpfull info so I was able to mod NSN GR Download module using fopen to create and append a text file

what version and where can I get it I will dl it and install edl and try and intergrate it
