When I click on the Module topics, a link appears in the bottom right of the window. The link says Topics, with the copyright logo next to it. Note: I'm not referring to the footer. I'm referring to the Topics module. When I click on this link, a window opens with Module copyright information. Can I remove this link, and if so, how?

The copyright is there as a part of every module. You can delete the copyright file in the modules/Topics folder to remove it
The link does not show up in every module though... Advertising for instance. Again, I'm not referring to the copyright in the footer.

Then there is no copyright.php file within the modules/Advertising folder. Remove that file for whatever module you want and it will remove that information
