My site members use a nickname with characters that have not been defined as allowable. When a member attempts to login using their nickname they are redirected to the "Cannot use HTML" page.
The format for a nickname on my site may be:
(KOF)N*DirtyRat
-or-
[KOF]N*DirtyRat
The (, ), [, ], and * characters are all not recognized as valid. What do I need to edit to allow these characters to be used?

Add them to the allowable HTML or remove the html checking altogether, though it kind of 'defeats the purpose' for having it...
