I've got a massive error with my site. I haven't changed any files in a long time, and all of a sudden I'm getting this error.

You can view topics, and get to the reply/post new topic pages. When you click Submit (or whatever the submit button is), it will take you to either a 403 page, or a 404 page.

Just to see what would happen, I deleted the entire site from server and uploaded last week's back-up. I'm still getting the same error...

-----------------------------------------------------------
PHP version 4.4.4
MySQL version 4.1.21-standard

Nuke Version 7.7
BB Version 2.0.21
BB2Nuke Version 2.0.7

There is a chatserve patch in there, I think 3.1 or something like that.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT:
I've done some extensive testing and can't find anything to do with this error yet. I do know now that it is a 403 error for sure. I tried CHMOD-in everything to 777 even, and I get more errors that way. I have successfully reverted all permissions, and I'm beginning to think it's something server side.....

Ok, here's another update

I can post pretty much whatever I want slong as the post doesn't have a line break. I'm thinking that's what it is because I posted a few "Test" "Just a test" posts and those work fine, but i tried to post something with returns in it and I'm screwed.....

I've also tried turning the error reporting on, and all I get is this

Code:
[31-Mar-2007 10:22:13] PHP Warning:  ob_start() [<a href='ref.outcontrol'>ref.outcontrol</a>]: output handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used twice in /home/gcworld3/public_html/x/includes/page_header.php on line 58

although, I have been getting that since I moved to my new server. There are no duplicate entries in the pageheader.php file at all, although i'm thinking that it could be because there are more files that load before the forum's page_header file....

Anyways, I removed my .htaccess file so I could see the URL it's directing too

EDIT:
Well, it doesn't have to do with line breaks. I posted a topic with one word every other line...

I still have no clue why it's doing what it's doing...

HA HA!!! I have found my error

The one particular post that wouldn't post had quotation marks in it. Does anyone know the class/method/function that phpBB uses to process teh data before it goes through? It never broke like this before...

I'm going to review some installation stuff from before and see if I can isolate the problem....

Ok, this will probably sound weird, but the server fixed itself... I guess they were upgrading some server stuff and didn't think it would bother anyone. Well, frankly, it scared the crap outta me.

And what's even more suprising is that the flood control in the forums is finally working, lol.
