Can a PHP-Nuclear scientist please have a look at this for me? (Odyssey theme)

IE7

Firefox

PHP Code:
Quote:
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" border="0" align="center" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tr><td align="right" width="50%">
<form action="modules.php?name=Search" method="post">
<b>Search</b> <input type="text" size="15" name="query"></td><td align="left" width="50%">
&nbsp;&nbsp;<font class="content"><b>on</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;$topics_list</select>
</font></form>
</td></tr></table>

I think this is the corresponding HTML Source Code:
Quote:
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" border="0" align="center" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tr><td align="right" width="50%">
<form action="modules.php?name=Search" method="post">
<b>Search</b> <input type="text" size="15" name="query"></td><td align="left" width="50%">
&nbsp;&nbsp;<font class="content"><b>on</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;<select name="topic" onChange='submit()'>
<option value="">All Topics</option>
<option value="1">PHP-Nuke</option>
</select>
</font></form>
</td></tr></table>

I'm making a theme based on the Odyssey template but this bug spoils it. The only solution I have found so far is to delete the </select> part of the code. But that only seems to work for IE7. I'm not sure if it has an effect on anything else, that's why I've put it back and posted here for your advise.

Thanks in advance,
J.

Could try the property valign on the columns and see if that makes a difference
Code:

valign="top"   (or "middle" or "bottom")
