I have phpbb 2.02 in my phpnuke 7.6 installation, without any patches or mods.

I haven't had much problems until recently when I tried to appoint a new moderator for my forum.

When I appoint member A as a forum moderator by assigning him the status in Rank Title, and assigning permissions for each forum section to him, I find that in the forum moderators list, his name appears, as does member B, whom I did not appoint, but he suddenly appears.

When I edit B's profile, all the Rank Titles and room permissions assigned to A are also somehow assigned to B. When I reset his settings, effectively removing him as a moderator, A's settings get reset too, and both names disappear from the moderators' list.

Its as if their accounts are tied together. Both members registered at least 10 months apart on the site.

This is the first time such a thing has occurred. I have assigned other moderators previously without any issue.

Could someone suggest a fix please?

Thanks in advance!

Giving this a bump as I would like to get to the bottom of this mystery as I wish to activate my moderator asap.

Has anyone encountered this before or knows of a fix?

I do not wish to delete either account as both members are regular posters at my forum.

BTW, the forum is Version 2.0.7 by Nuke Cops, not 2.02 as I reported earlier.

Thanks in advance for any help rendered!

Well I'm using the forums version 2.0.22, haven't had any problems with it.

Confirm what version you are using - it should say "Powered by phpBB 2.0.xx" in your forums admin panel.

The "Version 2.0.7 by NukeCops" is erroneously hard-coded into your template and should not be used
