Depends on what functionality you want. If you want to use the WYSIWYG editor, 7.8 + Patched. Otherwise 7.6 + Patched.

If you want an integrated solution, 7.6 + Patched + Sentinel + various other good stuff, RavenNuke is the way to go

Well functionality is going to take a back seat on this decision. I need to either find a) a 7.8 patched solution that is relatively easy to install or b) a short-term solution while I migrate to RavenNuke. I need to stop the bleeding, I've been hacked twice now in the last 24 hours. What patches are available for 7.8? Can I throw Sentinel on top of that too? Thanks again for your help.

*edit* Is this what I am looking for?

Yes those are the Patched files you will need. And you can install Sentinel with them (they are required in fact)

Dont forget to install NukeSentinel and patch all the way to 2.5.03 after you install the patches on that site. With all of that I think you will be pretty safe. Well unless you are letting users updload files with a image upload module or are running other insecure modules on your site.

Just a FYI the site were you downloaded the patches released a statement that they would no longer provide new patches past nuke 7.6. That may have changed recently but I dont know for sure. Also that site has a script to downgrade your database to 7.6 version and then you can install ravennuke...the only problem I had was that it didnt downgrade the poll/surveys table and I had to manually do that part.
