Correction: The problem actually lies in the Site Messenger Block
I've had this block working on my site for the past two years or so now.. never a problem. Well the power went out the other day and knocked the server out. When I brought everything back up the entire site works fine but I'm getting errors with the Site Vistor block.
I've disabled it for now until I can get rid of the errors... please help.
Nuke 6.5
Here's the errors... the bottom part works fine but the top half where it actually shows the users who are logged in is giving me these errors.

Maybe a table in the database is corrupt? Have you tried to look at nuke_session table in phpMyAdmin? If you get an error message when you try to view it, it might be a sign for database corruption, but it can be repaired relatively simple. |

I will check this when I go home this evening.. however I'm not sure I'd even know what to look for.
Also I made a mistake it's actually in the Site Messenger Block where the problem lies.
Any other ideas anyone? |

Well I was very happy when I came home tonight and saw your post of what to do.. I've read through that entire thread and the entire page on the MSQL site and I can't seem to fix this problem. However it's most likely me that's causing the problem.
Basically I try everything it sugests and I keep getting this message...
| Quote: |
ERROR 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'myisamchk -r nuke_session
' at line 1 |
basically no matter what I type it comes up with
| Quote: |
| ERROR 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1 |
Please Help. |

I tried REPAIR TABLE... this is what I get... no idea where to go from here.
| Quote: |
mysql> REPAIR TABLE nuke_session.MYD;
+------------------+--------+----------+----------------------------------------
+
| Table | Op | Msg_type | Msg_text
|
+------------------+--------+----------+----------------------------------------
+
| nuke_session.MYD | repair | error | Table 'nuke_session.myd' doesn't exist
|
+------------------+--------+----------+----------------------------------------
+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

Check the documentation! I think you must write REPAIR TABLE nuke_session; . I think one must write the table name and not the file name. |

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,
I really appreciate your help with this. It's not easy getting quick help. Thank you. I was doing exactly what you suggested. Funny thing is I had done that a million times last night but didn't realize I was in the wrong database. Oops.. no wonder it wasn't working.
As soon as I changed the database it took 2 secs and I was done. Everything appears to be working.
Now to look at upgrading the entire site. 6.5 to 7.9. Not looking forward to that. |
