Okay, I admit it. I hate PHP Nuke because I don't understand it!!

I have tried over the past year at different times to understand it - and I have no idea WHAT it is, HOW it works. I'm totally frustrated, fed up and well, I could say ready to cry. It's just unbelieveable how this makes no sense what-so-ever to me. I'm 100% brain-stupid when it comes to technical things. I've tried over and over to read the tutorials, but they make no sense. It's just jumbled garbage & words to me! (technical things cause the "glazed look" in my eyes) I have no idea what a "module" is nor where it goes; I have no idea what a "block" is - and where that goes.

Here are the basics & hopefully enough information for anyone who wishes to take on this job - (and explanations to me so that I understand and can take over as the admin/owner of the website). Please understand, I ask a LOT of questions - and I keep asking them until *I* DO comprehend. If that annoys you, then this probably isn't the job for you. Eventually something you say will "click" in my brain, and I'll "get it" - then everything falls into place.

PROJECT: http://neocritters.net NeoCritters.net is a "free" graphics and help site for those folks who dabble over on Neopets.

CURRENT STATUS: Over 100 pages, all of the pages are done in HTML (which I can whip out html pages like nothing). However, now whenever I want to change one item in the sidebar, I have to manually change every item on every individual page. It's a pain, hence the reason I've struggled with PHPNuke. I want all of my content information on the HTML pages to be able to appear in the "middle/center" of the PHP Nuke thingymajiggy. I want to be able to just change one link or add a new affliate button - and do it only on one page. I've also got staff members who will need to upload their graphics, reviews and other creations so I will need to be able to set them up with some uploading capabilities.

HOST: IpowerWeb.

PHP NUKE: Comes as one of the applications, it is installed, however I can uninstall and then redo it. Here's my lame attempt: Http://neocritters.net/portal (and I have no idea how I did this, it was a fluke)

PHPNUKE STATS: PHP-Nuke v7.8 **NOTE: This is available for me to install. I currently have v7.5 installed

ADMIN: I will set whomever takes the job up with a "super power" UN & PW so they have access to everything and then you can be in there the same time I am so you can explain what the things are and how I am to utilize them.

CONTACT:
Email: kl_hofbauer@yahoo.com or klhofbauer@cox.net or admin@neocritters.net
ICQ: 72837462
Area: Phoenix, AZ
Work: I, believe it or not, work from home and telecommute. So, I'm online from around 5:30AM til only 2PM M-F. If a phone conference is more desireable to show me the ropes, I will give you my telephone number, and either call you or vice versa. NOTE: I am online on the weekends also. For anyone who can jump into Nuke and knock it out - this will be a very easy job. The difficulty will be explaining it to me so that *I* understand and can go in to add & update. PLEASE someone help me!

Please, please contact me if you are interested - ASAP (yes, I need to try and get this done "asap"). Please let me know the times you are available and the rates you are requesting.

Mods/Owners - if there is any other information I need to post, please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

Kimberly L. Hofbauer
Admin/Owner: NeoCritters.net (since 2005) and KLHDesigns.com (since 1998)
Email: Admin@NeoCritters.net

PS: To give you an idea how much we have grown in the past year, here's our stats - and while not "way out there" - these are respectable, thanks in large part to the wonderful volunteer staffers I've got. So, I definitely need to be able to make things easier for them.

You're not too far from being done. You need to import some of your HTML content into stories, then make the stories module (News) appear in Home. The tedious part will be the importing ...

I'm sending you an email just now.
