Hello,

I'm going to stop using php-nuke and move to a much secure platform so my question is:

Which platform do you consider the most secure against hackers, nuke evolution or raven nuke? (if you know any other let me know Wink )

http://www.nuke-evolution.com/
http://ravenphpscripts.com/

Thanks,
John

Both of those PHP Nuke platforms you list are very secure. Nuke Evo has more modules, etc. with it versus RavenNuke.

The key is to be proactive with security. Make sure the latest files from the Patch Team are incorporated into your code. Watch for any new phpBB exploits and put in any new patches for that.

You can be more proactive with the use of the .htaccess file by denying access from certain countries, specific IP addresses.... things of that nature. Keep away from modules with known security risks unless you restrict access to only few people. (image galleries for example)

One thing to evaluate is the target audience for your website. If your target audience are for people of the United Kingdom only, then set up your .htaccess file for allowing only UK users. This type of proactive security will go a long way in keeping hackers away.

Is there a site to check for new exploits or any new threats?
