I'm writing from Mexico and am desperate. I have the website www.mexicoetc.com. Two days ago a friend told me he received the following message from his McAfee virus scan - "The file C:\documents and settings\Bob Kelly\local settings\temporary... was infected by the Generic Downloader.o trojan and has been deleted to complete the Clean process." He has another friend who also has McAfee who has received this same message.

I use AVG and have NEVER had anyone tell me they had problems accessing my website. I've downloaded all my files from my web server and run them thru my virus scan = nothing. I've contacted AVG and my web provider and they find nothing.

I've tried to contact McAfee but they don't seem to want to help me since I don't own McAfee. Do you have any advice or can you give me an actual phone number that works to contact McAfee?

Ok, not quite sure why you are posting here, as from waht i can see this site is not even a php-nuke website. As for your virus issue, I wouldn't trust mcafee. I personally would use either Trend Micro's Pc-Cillin or Nod32.

As for AVG, as with alot of free things on the internet, you get what you pay for. I would highly suggest spring for the 39.99 price tag on either of these anti-virus programs and you will be much safer

For Pc-Cillin: http://www.Trend-micro.com/ (this one is much easier to use)

For Nod32: http://www.eset.com/ (more advanced, reccomend Pc-Cillin for easier anti-virus.)

And I didnt catch any problems with your site by viewing it.
