Ive been doing a little investigating on a certain someone spamming referrer logs and would like some help or advice. There are about 14 to 15 domains that are are linked with each other that are spamming my referrer logs. Every domain that I have found is registered with the same host. Just about all link to the same person which has affiliates. Im not listing them here, but if someone that has more experience and would like to help me try and stop these porn referrers, please let me know. I feel that if we can at least stop this one person, it could help us out just a little bit. These scumbags need to be stopped. They are probably hitting alot of websites, I did a search on them and found they do have a history. I know there are spam referrers born everyday, but I feel that if we can at least help each other out as a community maybe we can finally get a handle on at least some of them.

If you are using sentinel, you can add those domains to the block referres list.
You can also block them via .htaccess.

Sorry its been a while since I got back, but Ive been doing alot of searches on this person. Ive tried .htaccess file, doesnt work, neither does, deny manager, a deny file, or protector (at least none of them worked for me). The only thing that works is using sentinel and using the referrers block. They use a javascript and have a master spambot that only does GET, this person has an amazingly huge list of domains and is not a newbie to spamming. I have an informal blog just for this that has the info on it and you can get all the domains to block on there. I hope its ok to post my blog on here, because if anyone knows how to stop this person, it should diminish a little of the porn spam that is hitting sites. If its not ok to put it here, I apologize, I just hope someone out there can try and stop him.
