I have PHP-Nuke 6.0
Got the file analyze.php placed it in the directory, pointed to in the web browser and it comes up like a text file. Sorry if I'm being a chump right now but whats next?

ok. can u re-download analyze.php but this time, right-click the file, and click "save target as". Then re-upload it ot ur site.
This isn't the first time analyze.php hasn't downloaded properly, I'll get Zhen to tar it.

if u click on the analyze.php link that's in the description for the download then you'll get this site's analyze.php cause that's where it's located as an example.
it's the download that you wanted though.

No posts on this in awhile, maybe he figured it out?
For anyone else who has this problem, I just had it. I installed a 6.5b6, applied all patches from NukeCops, new DB with a proper nuke.sql file for 6.5b6.. every time I tried to login with the new superuser, it would succeed but upon clicking any of the sections, it would knock you back out to login again.
Another symptom of this will be that any account created (either the normal-user with same info as superuser or a new account created after the fact) will, when you try to login via Your Account, bring up a Your Account page that just tells you their name, any info they put in during signup, and their lasts posts/comments.. again as if it failed to login properly.
This is a cookie-related issue. After trying to reinstall the scripts 2-3 times and the DB once or twice, I tried loading the site up in Netscape instead of IE.. it worked fine. So I popped back into IE, deleted all my cookies, and tried again.. and it worked just dandy.
So if you have this problem, clear your cookies and try again.. its probably that you've created PHPNuke sites in the past and hence already have cookies for a brand-new install in some other place? I dunno, I just know it works. |

Well, I assume the problem could occur with beta7 too, since it doesn't seem to be a PHPNuke problem so much as a browser issue.
And I'm still using b6 because I learnt my lesson.. stick with what works, until you're sure the new one works just as well. |

beta 7 works as well as beta 6 with all the fix packs. How do I know? cause I created that fix pack and the only difference between beta 6 and 7 according to FB is the fix packs (that and chat being removed)

I've been working on that problem for a while, what I found to work was PHPNuke 6.0. I tried to install both beta 6 & 7 and re-doing the data base, had the same problems with both of them. So I install 6.0 and no problems at all. I guess its best to stick with what works .
Thanks for the help Nuke Cops |
