If someone was really, really bored and wanted to look at the database, I could make a temporary user account. Very Happy

I had this problem on one of my topics for a long time.
Only today I fixed it.
For some reason, the topic count in the database was showing two more than there actually was.

nuke_bbtopics was showing 1276 posts.

I went backwards from there using start=xxxx on the end of the url until I found that post 1274 was actually the last post.

I manually edited nuke_bbtopics to show 1274 posts on the offending topic number.

Hope this might help anyone else.

Sometimes there are problems when you delete a post or user, and the counts don't update. It's a glitch somewhere.. hard to determine exactly how to fix them

I would just like to add that mine was only a temporary fix after all.
When the topic expanded to another page, the same problem has returned.

Perhaps it is a deleted user causing the problem.. I'm not sure Shocked

I need help on this topic. I deleted a user from the database, not from admin.php. Now, one of my Forum post is showing the message:

"No posts exist for this topic". I created a new user account and then changed his userid to the missing one. It did not work.

BTW: I can get the forum post that is causing trouble to display with this:
http://www.mysite.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7&start=0

The reason, I think it is causing the error is because the Posted message seems to suggest there are two pages. When you click Next, you get the error.

ERROR when clicking next.

Any suggestions for me to solve this problem? Wink

Thanks in advance
