Specs:

Version 7.9
Upgrade: No
Full Install: Yes

When myself or my members go to post something loger then a few lines it redirects them to the index with out posting the text. I have read all there is to read, this is a common issue. I have commented out code, dropped fields from tables, you name it. nothing!

Anyone here have the same problem and fixed it?

Banned code where sorry? i dont fully understand your question.

also: I have rounded up the 9 people who are having this issue, and it seems the only thing they have in common is a statip IP address in fact for me i can post to the forum on my laptop from home, but then i try to post at work it fails. only difference is the static IP.

any problems using static IP's?

If you input text such as UNI0N or Javascript, it will bounce you out for security reasons

Evaders99, can you please explain this a little more. Do you mean a browser made with those? i stil dont fully understand you. please give me a loger explanation.

If you mean are these people typing in Java code as there text body i can asure you they are not. it is plain text about 200 words. short messages get posted, but long posts dont.

have you had issues with static IP's or some browsers?

You would have to show us what post text isn't being posted correctly

The text i am entering is simple text. no tags, no code. not even smilies.

I am going to change the editor. maybe thats the problem? what editors are there? and how do i install them? also, after i click [Submit] or [Preview] what security checks are made, and how do i disable any checks that might be causing this?

Note: This happens when i am making a forum post. it might be happening in other places but for now just in the forums

I just posted fine.

Weird.
I recommend using 7.6 + latest Patched files. That seems to be the most stable. Or if you want the WYSIWYG editor, you can us 7.8 - again with the Patched files.

Yes, your database should be fine.

phpNuke 7.6 from http://www.phpnuke.org
Patched files from http://www.nukeresources.com
