I would like to make the following code into a block:
Quote:
<?php include('http://tools.site-reference.com/forms/rssParser.php?url=http://www.mysite.org/modules/myfolder/rss.php?feedBox=Upcoming_Events&action=SwitchCal&selectedCal=1&width=140&php=yes&num=&refer=http://www.mysite.org&feedTitle=yes&feedDescription=yes&articleDescription=yes');?>

Nothing I try works. I always get the error "There isn't content right now for this block." and the block header is under the list generated by the above code.

Any clues?

It won't work like that - include does not return anything that can be added into the $content variable.

If you look up doing output buffering, you should be able to get the contents that way

Okay, maybe I need to go back to scratch. I am trying to get the following RSS feed link to display properly:
Quote:
http://www.ti99ers.org/modules/TotalCalendar/rss.php?feedBox=Upcoming_Events&action=SwitchCal&selectedCal=1

However, whenever I try to set it up as a RSS feed (in Nuke 7.6) I get the following error message:
Quote:
Please check the URL and RSS file name, then try again.

I've tried RSS decoders using this link which seems to indicate the code and link are okay and when going to sites to try the RSS feed link, it works. What am I missing here??? Question

Well phpNuke wasn't design to read RSS 2.0 feeds.
But my test site seems to be working correctly.

I put the RSS address into a block and it works fine

How did you get it to work in a block??? I sure wasn't able to do that. Please tell me how... please, please ... (I'm on my knees begging). Wink

I am using the RavenNuke 7.6 version of php-Nuke 7.6, so as of then, I assume it has all the latest patches.

This is really weird alright. Whether I try it at home or at work and regardless of browser (Avant, I.E., Firefox, Opera), it doesn't work for me. At home I am running Win2k and at work WinXP. At work it is a Dell PC (with Intel processor) and at home it is a generic PC (with AMD Athlon processor). Very little similar between them, except the results.

I am totally baffled. Confused
