Random HTML < /br>'s in posts

I am getting < /br> after every time I hit return in my forums.

Anyone know whats going on?

Its also giving me a message "you must enter a message" when I click submit the first time, but will submit it the second time.

Using the latest Patched files? That will fix your problem and secure many parts of phpNuke

I have the patch, but I don't know how to run it. I don't understand the "run this command" thing. Where do i type that in?

I can't figure it out. I've got all of the file uploaded, I just don't understand where I'm supposed to "run" something from.
