Running Nuke-Evolution 1.0.1

I like to have my Forums "Put In Home" so they appear on the first page for my visitors to see. There seems to be a problem with doing that because even though a person might be logged in to the website it doesnt show them as logged in to the forums until they actually click a post to read or do some other Forum function such as viewing their Profile or Usergroups. I assume this has something to do with cookies, or how Evo loads the Home page. Does anyone know if there is a fix or workaround for this ?

I am trying to do the same. The only solution I have come up with, is using some sort of center forum block. There are a few out there.

But I am with you on that. I would love to ahve the forum module as the home and people being logged in. I am using 7.7 so it is not just your version.

I tried using a Forum center block and had another problem with that regarding private forums. With one setting it would show topic titles (it wouldnt allow you to read them but you could see the titles) for all forums regardless of permissions, and with the other setting it would hide all private forums regardless of permissions. I'd love to find a block that will obey permissions and only display those forums/topics that a user has access to. I'm pretty sure the block problem is something unique to Evo though.

I was running the forum as the home page and had that very same problem. I gave up and made a different page the 'Home'. In nuke, if the person is loged in, anytime you click a like to the main forum page it works. Like 'Forum' on the top bar. But when you click home is when it gives you the trouble you were talking about.
