New Users Never Recieve Registration Email

Hello,

When users attempt to register on my site, including myself, we never seem to recieve the comfirmation email to verify our accounts. Is there a fix for this?

phpNuke uses the local mail() function of PHP
Please make sure your host has it enabled and working properly

Thanks. Do you know where I can find the no mail hack for the Your_Account area only. I can't seem to find it on any of the nuke help sites.

I'm having the same issues, it looks like we need to talk with our Hosting provider...

it was working fine, then suddenly it just stopped working. (also noted a server downtime to corralate with this could this cause the server to go down?) also, if i have the smtp server configured in the preferences section to allow it to send mail, will it use that instead?

Could be server downtime.
No, phpNuke will not use the forums settings for SMTP

Is there a way we could alter/remove this ? Maybe somehow specify another way..or completely remove email validation and use admin validation ?

To remove the email, use the Your Account No Mail hack. To use admin approval, get the Approve Membership mod
