Im tired of trying the $5-10 per month (most likely overloaded or run out of people's houses) hosting companies for my phpnuke hosting.
Im tired of downtime, poor network latency, slow sql servers, etc.
Can anyone recommend a very reliable, long running hosting company that can host and knows what they're doing.. knows how to support php nuke clients, maybe even posts or emails vulnerabilities, and knows how to secure their network properly.
The need to not overload their servers with 100's of sites.. over load their mysql dbs, and run enterprise level equipment.
Thanks in advance. |

Well those maybe good hosts, but probably don't support phpNuke like you would want. Look for good hardware first - and then find someone who knows Nuke
I bought a dedicated server for using on my main phpNuke through 1and1 - I manage it myself
If interested, check http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=8875137 |

Are you hosting other sites with your server or are you just recommending 1and1's hosting services?
Thanks

Depending on your needs, I could work with you on your hosting. My friends and I have a dedicated server (with 1 TB monthly bandwidh) that we maintain all the software on. So we're really flexible.
If interested, I'll give you a link where you can put in your custom order, and we will work with you to get you the best price.
- Or if you just need a Nuke expert for installations, code fixes, maintenance, etc - I'd be happy to help you |

One of my sites hosting is up Feb 23. I like the hosting, great customer service, good control panel, great ftp, but I would like to have both my sites with one host. The only way I could do that with this host is either by taking another account, which is more money than I want to pay or having what they call an 'add on' domain, which is just creating a sub domain without the sub domain url, which I don't like.
My other site is with a host that is not up until July and would allow me to add my other site to it with a dedicated IP for each, at no extra cost but I am not that happy with the hosting there.
So I am trying to weigh all my options, get the most for my money with hosting I am can be comfortable with.
If you could give me some ideas of cost and what it would include would be great. Then I can add you into the decision equation
Thank You

You can't find many hosts that give you atleast 1tb of bandwith.
Is this the 1and1 dedicated server host, Evaders? |

It's the 1and1 root server that we have. We have to maintain the software, they just maintain the hardware. 1 TB is more than enough for any site that doesn't have a large amount of downloads. (Ours only hits high bandwidth usage whenever we release a version of the Star Wars Warlords mod... thousands of downloads * a couple hundred meg file)
JoAnne, I'll talk to you in private and see if we can meet your needs |
