I just updated from 7.5 to 7.8 and now I get an 'Access Denied' at the top of the Admin Panel. Backup DB, Banners, Blocks, Edit Admins, Forums, Users Groups, HTTP Referers, Ip Ban and Messages are the only modules showing. Nothing else at all.

I saw in another post about the Admin in the config.php file. It is at the default 'admin.php' and that is the correct name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way - After the feedback, I decided against going to 7.9.

Thanks,
Craig

Sounds like a permissions problem. Are you using the God account?

Just want to make sure its
Code:
$admin_file = "admin";

This is what is in my config file:
$dbhost = "localhost";
$dbuname = "****p_nu1";
$dbpass = "****";
$dbname = "****p_nu1";
$prefix = "nuke";
$user_prefix = "nuke";
$dbtype = "MySQL";
$sitekey = "****";
$gfx_chk = 0;
$subscription_url = "";
$admin_file = "admin";
$advanced_editor = 0;

I've tried 'God' as the admin user, but what is the password. My regular one doesn't work. I have never used the God account.

Craig

The God account was the first created when installing phpNuke. It does not mean that you login with "God"

Maybe use phpmyadmin and clean out the nuke_authors table?. Start anew? See if this link relates to you:
