I left PHP nuke at 7.6 due to 1 minute+loading times and jumped to PHP-nuke platinum, tried MD-pro and a bunch of other CMSes, it appears PHP-nuke is just what I need.
So, how much faster is it from 7.6? Is it worth starting out fresh again?

Well your alays gong to have to look more at your host than your CMS for load times but PHP-Nuke seems pretty quick on most sites to me.
Flash themes can slow them down a lot but thats pretty much across the board.
I'll have to second that one. As soon as I installed the Patched files (3.1 on 7. things were much faster. I've never seen <0.30 page generation times before I loaded the files and now it's normal!
