What folder do you need to chmod and to what values to be able to create top level galleries? I chmod the folders that I thought I needed to and I get this error when I try to edit the new gallery: Warning:

And when I try to make new top level galleries I get this :
The script was unable to write in the destination directory. Please check the write permissions

Hmm, I am going to be honest and tell you that I am not sure this is right, but I think it has to do with the <b>Safe Mode</b> part. That is usually something that a host can set on your account and it is known to cause problems with Gallery type scripts. Check with your host to see if it is setup on your account! They might be able to help you from there. As I said, it could be something else, but that is my hunch!

When safe_mode is set to ON you (the program) can't make folders on the 'fly'
You have to do that prior to doing that useing your ftp program.
You also have set all gallery folders (with the images, pictures etc) to chmod 777
At least, that is what I understand and do successfully.
