For some odd reason the forums on the newer phpnuke has all html code in it. Such as if i post a message, the outcome looks like this:
drgh<br />
dr<br />
gd<br />
rg<br />
d<br />
drh<br />
d<br />
rh<br />
d<br />
h<br />
Any clue how to get phpnuke to quit using this nasty html code? My7.5 installations are fine, but my 7.7's do this. |

patched files is BS.
why do u insist on pimpin it when you know this is how to fix it?
config.php
advanced editor = 1
<<< set it to zero to turn it off >>>>
and the tags will stop displaying in forum posts....
but here is the real bummer....
even after turning off the adv editor
tags still show up in signature for users
can anyone tell me how to stop that???
and no i dont want no stinkin patch.... |

LOL maybe because they actually do what they are intended to do, fix many of the mistakes that FB has released
You don't have to use them, you can always patch all your files manually. But it'll take a lot more management on your part, otherwise your site will get hacked sooner or later.
If there are problems with Patched files, you should tell us exactly so we can fix them |

fair nuff evaders...
but every now and then it would be nice to get an answer to a
question.... rather than simply stating ... use the patch.
it can be frustrating looking for answers at times.

Overwrite the files, run the upgrade script. All there is to it.
You're really not giving us any information on the specific problem.
As I said before, make sure people are using the Forums Profile to post their signature. |
