Hi,

I run a rather private site for all of my friends. But there is a small problem, which we would like to correct. Anyone can just register, and get to see som rather personal stuff, such as ohonenumbers, ICQ's, addresses, etc.

Is there a way to have the administrator activate the members account, instead of the member him-/herself?

One quick way would be to comment out the line of code that actually sends the confirmation email in Your_Account/index.php and then use this hack I wrote to let the Admin activate it http://gaylenandmargie.com/nuke/html/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=59

OK, thank you very much...

Can you point me in the direction of what to look for in Your_Account/index.php?

I am a little new at this Smile

Maybe I could make it always send the mail to the administator, for easy activation...

I thank you in advance!

Find the function finishNewUser and look for this line

mail($user_email, $subject, $message, "From: $from\nX-Mailer: PHP/" . phpversion());

Code:
mail($user_email, $subject, $message, "From: $from\nrX-Mailer: PHP/" . phpversion());

Instead of $user_mail, make it the admin's email
Code:
mail($adminmail, $subject, $message, "From: $from\nX-Mailer: PHP/" . phpversion());
