I'm posting anonymously for obvious reasons (dont want to get hacked).

I'm sitting on an old version of Nuke, 6.9 and want to upgrade.

Will my database be successfully ported, or is there some difficult, manual work i need to do?

Any suggestions?

I'll be a good lad and keep current as soon as i make moves to 7.9...
thanks for any suggestions!

The upgrade scripts should do a decent job. There are some errors if you've changed your prefix value, but I believe all the serious ones in the upgrade scripts have been caught and fixed

thanks so much.

I'll post a link to my site once i'm done with the upgrade.

from the suggestions here and elsewhere, here's my plan.

1. back-up the database and all files
2. bring "down" the site for maintenance
3. remove all "files" keeping the config files "handy"
4. copy over new nuke files
5. modify the config file(s)
6. run the db upgrade scripts
7. test the base site functionality
8. re-install my custom modules
9. re-install my custom theme
10. test
11. bring site back "up"

guessing i can get this done in 2 days.

any holes in the plan that you can see?
many thanks!
