What level of interest would there be for an equivelant GoogleTap for IIS hosted nuke sites?

I've been working on an ISAPI-Filter for IIS that controls Search-Engines, Bots and Hot-Linking, and am now thinking about adding additional code to support search-engine friendly urls for nuke sites...

I would be very interested in this. I run 10 nuke sites and they are all on an IIS server. So if anyone knows how to install on one of those that would be great!!!

I have created a ISAPI Rewrite system for Windows Server's to use with phpnuke. This is compatible with IIS

the Package is in our Downloads Section at http://support.studio505.net

This package was made Area 51 IT Solutions http://support.studio505.net Steve (AKA Rockdrala - Yahoo IM: scorpion_spell) becuase the next gen project doesnt support IIS 6.0
THis was tested on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise with IIs 6.0 and PHP Nuke 7.7 This is not google tap. Helicons Version of ISAPI Rewrite is Crap As Well.

copy and paste the A51rewrite.dll and the rewrite.ini into your C:\Windows\System32\Inetsrv folder (THESE ARE IN THE PUT IN SERVER FOLDER IN THE PACKAGE)

After Copying and Pasting the Files in the "right click" on each one make sure the SYSTEM account has full permissions to each

Open IIS and go the websites container, right click on the website you want the filter applied to. Go to Properties.

Click on the ISAPI Filters at the top

Click the button Add

Type in A51rewrite

Browse to the Excutable C:\window\system32\inetsrv\A51rewrite.dll select it of course

click ok, then apply then go you your your web service extensions in IIS, Click on All Unknown ISAPI Extensions, then click ALLOW...

Go the top of IIS Right Click on your Server at the Top, Scroll Down To Restart IIS, Click It

Wait for it to restart

then test it by opening up a browser and typing http://yoursite.com/index.html

Taa daa! A working example can be found on my site at http://area51portal.com/index.html

HOWEVER PLEASE use my tech community for asking question... Under Server Category Windows

at http://support.studio505.net

Remember http://support.studio505.net <------- Join
http://area51portal.com/index.html <------- Example Site

NOW THE Menu PROBLEM!

Googletap and next gen modify the Navigation Menu (main modules block) to change the links to go th *.html Links for Mod_rewrite

THE SOLUTION! I have made a premade Navigation Menu... JUst drop the block included in this package block-html_menu.php in your Blocks Directory and activate it

from your Blocks nuke administration menu in phpnuke. Be Sure your disable the Modules Block, If you cant find

you modules block you may have already renamed it to something like Navigation Meu.

After you activate the new block click edit in your Blocks administration Menu and give it a friendly name like Navigation Menu or Site Directory.

Go to your main page and see how it looks.

If you want to add your own links just open up the block and copy and paste, I made that easy

Now if ya'll want to show your apprecation JOIN MY SITE! Its new and I need members, I dont care if you ever ever use it, just join baby join, lol

http://support.studio.net

Thank you all for using this, I worked weeks on it...

Steve aka Rockdrala

yahoo id scorpion_spell

ps you dont have to edit your headers or footers becuase Google tap and next gen use pages to call the mod_rewrite functions,
where this isnt the case with IIS becuase the url is rewritten on the fly.

I begged people to help me with this project to make the navigation menu but since I couldnt get any I made basic one for yall to use with the *html linkage

Nice theme Rockdrala Wink

I will join your site.... I was one of those who would take apart the TV set piece by piece to see how it worked, but when my mom got home she was not a happy camper. I did however put it back together (it did work BTW) and the next day she bought me an electronics kit from RadioShack Smile

take care

Ice X, It is honor to have you as a member bud, I love your themes..

Perhaps we could discuss a partnership in selling your themes?

Imagine that, running into the guy that made made my theme... thats too cool bro...

Hey If I were you Ice, I wouldnt use Style Demo System, its compatibility with newer versions of nuke is crap,

I have a simple block that changes themes from a drop down that I will let you have its a simple block Install, just drop and activate... there is no editing of the header or footer required....

(which you should not have to anyway!!!)

and no force to show copyright info, plus the people at code-area51.com are real assholes, Nazgul ( aka the mighty y) is just a 18 yr old kid from thailand who likes to talk sh*t and not back it up.

Just pm me bud and I will send you a link for the theme block...

Another thing, There is not "Style Demo System Theme Database" in this block either you just drop themes into your themes directory and the automatically get added to the drop down list.

So you dont have add themes to the database one by one like you do in the SDS...

This is going to important to you Ice becuase you are in the themes biz, it would be nice for you to just drag and drop thirty themes into your themes directoy and be done with it...

And Example of the Block can be seen at http://area51portal.com

And PLEASE remember we are not the same organization as
code-area51.com and I cant stand em,

Damned, it has been long very long sicne I visited this site but now I felt this needed a reply.

First of all Nazgul and me aren't the same person! Nazgul is from US (afaik), I am from Belgium so goodbye with the Thai stuff thing.
Second, I do not now the age of Nazgul but you are right about mine (totally off the record) BUT this does not mean I don't know my work. I'm coding php for like 4 years now, I'm pretty damn sure the work I deliver DOES work or atleast works on the versions I give support for.

Third: I do give support on my products, you can ask the guys over at nuke-evolution.com (for which me and Nazgul worked together to create a working version of SDS for Nuke-Evo) or ask the people at my site who have a little patience till I can help them further.

I'm very sorry that you are dissapointed in my service, I cannot help it that I have a life outside my coding and my site. You request help on monday, I send back for site info so I could access it and fix it. On tuesdays I go to my judo practice and do homework (there are still people that think about their future) so I do not come online on tuesdays. And then on wednesday I see that you are insulting me.

Well, I can only say: if you don't like my service, don't use it BUT let others decide for theirselves.
As a last note I want to state that MY Sds is totally different from "the block" you use. On your testsite people have to login, so it is just a block that copied the Change Theme code from the Your Account module.
Mine on the other hand does NOT require you to log in, it adds the ability to add additional information.
And the fact that this "let guests view the theme" can only be accomplished by editing some files.

My side of the story, I will not elt my sleep over this + I will probably never ever pass by this thread again so I can't care less what will be said here.
