ok i am semi new to nuke. i have my site all installed with 7.7 and every thing set up right. i can register my self with super admin. but then i come to find i don't get local smtp support so i came here and read throgh the how-to post. but i got confsed sence it was for older versions. what do i do. i am tring to get it to connect to bluebottle . i tryed some of the stuff. but all it does is say it going to send in next 24 hours like it should. then i see my mysql shows it loged it. how do i set up offsite smtp e-mail. give me a step by step please.

Setting up offsite SMTP email instructions will vary from ISP to ISP.
Your best bet is to google for a free SMTP site server and get instructions from there.

been there doen that. i all ready got a free smtp from blue bottle and connectde from many e-mail programs. i just whould like to know how to do this. i am very.................slow when it comes to coding. i just need a little help. what codes do i put where?

just like o add to this is that i whould like to know if there si some code i can add to my 7.7 version of php-nuke so that i can get it to connect to my smtp server. or if i can get it to connect to pop3. just some way i can get e-mail to work. i don't like to the no e-mail hack.

Run your own smtp server, 2 run well with nuke,,argo and post cast
There are a couple locations for lay step by step instruction...I think here at karakas and postcast site...run forum search for postcast...
If u dont want to go that way..the instructions willstill be helpfull thu editting php.ini is slightly diff.
