the first article, while short, I think demostrate's the divide that came up inside the NC team. Kudos to AI for sticking to his guns.

There was and is no divide. AI departed of his own accord and is free to do what he wishes to do, as are NC. If he, or anyone else, wishes to start a fork, then we wish them well. We just chose two different paths Wink

I posted this a couple of days ago because I didn't agree with the delay ZX chose to have between announcing he'd made a decision, and actually making a decision.

He did the exact same thing in the staff forums, which is why it really crossed the line when he announced his decision to us.

As for the fork, it's in planning stages, but it is going ahead. At the moment, it's just me and a couple of bug fixers, but I'm looking for people who want to develop add-ons for the CMS (can't do them all myself really now can I?)

looks like he was peeved over something. and yes, he left on his own because he was upset/angered/whatever, over this decision. so technically, you are correct, he wasn't asked to leave, but i think this statement clearly shows a rift in the NC team.

Please believe me, there is no rift! Had there been a rift, then you would have seen more than 1 person leave. AI just chose another direction. We are moving towards some great things here. We wish AI the best in his direction too!

I think one has to commend AI choosing to remain mostly silent on the matter until Team NC made a unified decision.

Now that its been rendered I for one will be keeping an eye on him. Wink*

I personally wish AI fame and fortune in his new endeavor. Since he has his own site that no longer focuses on PHP-Nuke and we are a PHP-Nuke supporter, lets move those discussions where more appropriate.

Thanks and good luck. Whatever AI has done, it was done from his own free will. There was no pressure from Nuke Cops. And if there was like had been said, many others would have left. This is simply not the case.

Viva PHP-Nuke.
