This seemed about the best place to put this message...

Has anyone else been getting spammed in their PMs here on nukecops? I've had two messages now from phpnuke3. Seems quite unprofessional and is very irritating.

Admin/moderating an interactive site means work...doing it on a site this size I would imagine means almost full time work...
Spammers I have a nil tolence, not just from a members point of veiw but admin side to.
Clean up is a pain and time consuming. So it add a little more time in trace isp send loggs etc is time well spent to stop repeat spamming. A policy all responsable Admins should be on the ball with.
If All admin stood up and reported such activity on their sites ISP would be getting several complaints on the same persons, they would have more to act on, stronger cases.
Eventually comnined indepentant actions like this would have an effect.
In my books, its War.
Its MY bandwidth and they are stealing it, my time and they are stealing that to.

Ha ha. So, you related such bad PR spamming to 'money' issue. You're so pragmatic.

No its not the money m8, its the principle, The bw is negiable/site but combine that around the world it adds up.
I see no diff between pinching a candy bar and knocking over fort knox.
Same thing goes for bloody cell phones, I dont tollerate a builder putting on large extentions to out home, then spending time on his cell phone and have me pay for that time.
I dont do it, so I expect the same from others.

Unfortunately, none of us have control of the main server. You got to get the Together Team to give us access Smile

Hey, I'd be willing to host it myself. But I couldn't pay for it - I'd pay enough just for the hosting

I dont mean just nuke cops...Im talking about Admins everywhere being proactive...
Its all well and good ppl bitching about spam...bottom line bitching in forums does squat...Proactive reporting by admins everywhere to ISPs/site hosts....
I also find complaining to web masters about their Domains being used to spam forums, is usually ineffective, but email a company Director...that works lol
Explain their is something wrong with their security lol
