SO glad you are back!
We have our site almost ready to go live. But on the page when you go to register, it says this:
You will receive a confirmation email with a link to a page you should visit to activate your account in the next 24 hours.
Notice: Account preferences are cookie based.
As a registered user you can:
| Quote: |
Post comments with your name
Send news with your name
Have a personal box in the Home
Select how many news you want in the Home
Customize the comments
Select different themes
Access to Members List
Access to Gallery
Access to Survey
Create your own Journal
some other cool stuff...
Register Now! It's Free!
We don't sell/give to others your personal info. |
How do I change this? I'm wondering if we can edit. For one thing, not all those things are true. They can't have a gallery unless subscribed. Also, I'd like to add something about "by registering here you agree to refrain from posting anything vulgar, attacking, or illegal" (or something like that) and "anything you post can be harvested for using in our FAQ or sewalong downloads".
Thank you so much!

I'm sorry, I don't think I was clear. I meant, how do I edit that message that is sent out when they register? Some features we are not allowing at this time.
I'm looking in that file, I don't see the words, Register Now, it's free or
the part about privacy.
Thanks again!

I still dont think you are being clear....the post I referred to tells you exactly how to edit the messages which appear on the page when a user registers. If you mean the email message that is sent for users to activate their account, then thats a different matter. |

| Code: |
.""._REGISTERNOW."<br>\n"
.""._WEDONTGIVE."<br><br>\n" |
Those are the two lines which put the register now message on the screen and the we dont give email addresses out. They are defined in modules/Your_Account/language/lang-english.php as follows:
| Code: |
define("_REGISTERNOW","Register Now! It's Free!");
define("_WEDONTGIVE","We don't sell/give to others your personal info."); |

Great! I added and changed some definitions. Now where is the file with this info?
