I just have one "minor" question. What are the advantages of upgrading from 7.4 to 7.5? Is it worth to trouble to do the upgrade? |

7.5 has a new admin permissions system. For the moment, most addons are released with versions for 7.5 as well as 7.4 and lower. I expect eventually that all of them will only support 7.5 and higher, but that isn't going to be soon.
I'd say there's no advantage to upgrading right now if your site is running smoothly. |

From Upgrade.txt in your Nuke package
| Code: |
To Upgrade from previous PHP-Nuke versions just install
the new files and from your web browser launch after
copying the selected upgrade from "upgrades" directory
to your site's root (/) dir:
http://www.phpnuke.org/upgrade25-35.php
It's all...
|
So if you're going from 7.0 to 7.5, upload and run
upgrade70-71.php
upgrade71-72.php
upgrade72-73.php
upgrade73-74.php
upgrade74-75.php |

This also might help,
Open the Upgrade files in the Upgrade folders provided with the pkg. Some of the queries to update your database don't use the ".$prefix". preceeding the table name. Now this only applies to those who changed their table prefix other than nuke. You'll have to go and add change the prefix to match the one you use for your nuke.
Myself, I just opened phpMyAdmin, corrected the query and ran it from there...that was my main heachache trying to upgrade..the upgrade scripts were run, but they weren't changing what they needed.
I found this to be in the 75 I DLed from here and the 76full I DLed from nukefixes...FYI. |

I don't understand these lines...
"....the only change is that you will need to upload an admin folder into the following modules:
Content
Downloads
Encyclopedia
FAQ
News
Reviews
Surveys
Topics
Web_Links
Your_Account ..."
I do not understant, how do mean?! To upload admin forlder into that...? Wich admin folder? |
