My page is littered with these notice messages. I have read and followed the sticky above, but they are still there. I'm getting really frustrated at this point, because it took me two days to finally get an installation running (I'm very new at this), and now the page looks like crap because of these notices.
Please if anyone has an idea how I can turn these off, feel free to share.

You still have to find your php.ini and change the notice reporting level as explained in the sticky.
