How's it going on this? It sounds like you've got it pretty well fixed up.
I am foaming at the mouth to give it a try |

any new luck? need any beta testers?
my work has a couple old servers I might could get my hands on -- what would be the best operating system to setup my own server?
I heard red hat linux is good -- is there any others you all would reccomend evaders99? |

Don't know about evaders99, but I'd recommend WhiteBox Enterprise Linux, a free alternative to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. For a production server, I can't recommend Fedora Core, as it seems to be in perpetual beta mode. For a personal system, Fedora is a worthy replacement for Red Hat 9.0, the last free version of Red Hat's distro.
Of course, I'm biased. I have used RedHat since version 5.2. I have dabbled with Mandrake and SUSE distros, but I have not had as much success with them as with Red Hat. |

Honestly I can't give an opinion. I let my tech people handle it
I am getting together a release.. have been testing it on some servers. Seems there's a problem when your server is running in Safe Mode. I will try to track down this bug. Then hopefully you'll get something as bug-free as I can make it right now. |

Successfully installed it. Got to phplist admin page and got this warning:
Warning: The pageroot in your config doesn't seem to match the current location
Check your config file.
Should I be concerned? So far, it seems to work OK. I have tried different combinations of config.php and the PHP-list admin configurations. I can make the warning go away, but that breaks the admin pages and the confirmation e-mail links and such. So I have things set so the module works -- I'll put up witn the warning for the time being.
If you want to help me test it, visit the first site in my link, and look for the Alumni Mailing List link in the nav block -- you'll have to register as a user to use it, however.
Thanks.

I see it's been awhile since any activity on this thread. What's the latest on the script? |

Help needed.
I have PHP Nuke installed (7.2) without chatserv's patches. (I have too many mods on my site to undertake a patch - I rely on NSN Sentinel instead)
I have gone into /admin/links , admin/case, admin/modules and changed the PHPlist files so that they are unpatched....
Cool... works so far.
The problem begins when I click on the PHPlist icon in the admin panel - I then get the following errors on my errorlog.
[Wed Mar 30 00:36:19 2005] [error] [client 213.42.2.26] File does not exist: /home/pickem2/public_html/500.shtml
[Wed Mar 30 00:36:19 2005] [error] [client 213.42.2.26] Premature end of script headers: /home/pickem2/public_html/modules/PHPlists/admin/index.php
So the first thing I do is to change the permissions on the files (644) and directories (755).
After doing this, when I click on the PHPlist icon in the admin panel, it just takes me to the homepage of my nuke site.
I have dedicated myself to debugging the Port of PHPList until I die... so any input will be welcome.
Cheers
