Email Spammers Using my Webmail

I have a phpnuke site installed and have enabled the feature for users to use webmail.

I also have admin secure and was notified last night of illegal activity. Someone had logged into my site and was creating accounts and sending spam through the webmail. I have since banned the ips, but the person keeps switching ips and creating more accounts. I have also notified my webhost about this and they are investigating it.

Is there anything else I can do? I deactivated the feature that allows users to send webmail, but some of my family members who use the site use the webmail so I don't want this to be a permanent thing.

Any add on or hack out there to prevent spam from being sent through the nuke webmail feature?

No - WebMail was taken out because of such security issues. It is no longer being supported, and I have not seen any alternatives.

Okay. Thanks for the info. I will leave it disabled so that I do not have to have this happen again, I guess I'll just have to set up regular email addresses for my family members. Thanks for the reply.

Grab a separate mail server use that
for pop/smtp
www.mailenable.com
or
www.postcastserver.com
post cast also have a good free smtp server
