I'm with teenymcavote.org and we want to start having scheduled, live, online debates we can promote locally and wherever...to encourage youth to chat..live and online about political issues etc.
I need help finding out the BEST chat-room thing to integrate in our site. There are so many. I have seen awful ones..that just look complicated and have code..and I have seen some nice ones...but not a lot of features.
What would you all reccomend?
1. It is important that it be able to 'bump' or ban people who don't allow it to be a healthy debate.
2. Bad language filtering is important so that YMCA (and those of us trying to do this) don't get in trouble from funders if someone goes passionate on us with strong words...
3. Simple and easy to use...it's gotta be sooo easy.
I have seen some things that allow talking if they have a microphone -- but that's probably a bad idea for us right now....
anyway...do you all have any suggestions or ideas? It doesn't have to be free -- but if it isn't I gotta be able to afford it and I only have like $100 limit on my credit card so "cheap" is definately a theme here.
I appreciate this place -- you guys here have helped me so much already..this is awesome community and I wouldn't know anything if it hadn't been for this forum. It's good stuff. Plain. and Simple.

I use spchat on my website. I'm not certain if you can kickout a user because I never had the need to utilize that function. Although, it is a nice chat script for phpnuke spchat.org
