Most of my users are clanmembers and they always have "name [claname]" or "name[claname]" or even "name(claname)" as their nicknames. These nicks are not alowed in the php 6.5 forum module. (since they cotains ([
However they can register with name without the tags, go to forum and change their name to "Whatever [example)"
Is it possible to register with ( [ and <spacebar> in the nickname...
Gosh! Read slow... LOL! |

On or about line 20 of Your_Account find this line
| Code: |
| if ((!$username) || ($username=="") || (ereg("[^a-zA-Z0-9_-]",$username))) $stop = "<center>"._ERRORINVNICK."</center><br>"; |
Change it to
| Code: |
| if ((!$username) || ($username=="") || (ereg("[^a-zA-Z0-9_\[\]\(\)-]",$username))) $stop = "<center>"._ERRORINVNICK."</center><br>"; |
Edited - I forgot to add the whitespace. |

What do you mean with "On or about line 20 of Your_Account find this line " ?
Where is the file?  |

Yes, it does.
I, for one, do not allow users to change their names. This creates a real havock. |

The Raven's code works fine for me. Only replace "\w" with "\(\)" |

Thanks Imago. I was trying to recall off the top of my head what the code was for a space . I guess I had an "old timer's" moment . I went back and edited my post in the event someone stops reading there. |
