Hi, i just installed the latest PHP-Nuke 6.5 Bug-Sec Patch 3 found here. But now no email notification is being sent at all, the topic reply notification, new user registration email and pm notication emails are not being sent.
Any ideas?

I have the correct url in SITE URL field, my problem is that the emails notifications are not being sent at all. |

sharlein, it's all very well quoting other peoples fixes, but there's no point unless they're fixes that are likely to make a difference to the problem.
checksum, go into ur phpBB administration, then General -> Configuration, and set the SMTP settings in there (shouldn't really need to, but do so anyway just in case)

That's odd, i ran a diff between the pmindex file i had released awhile back and the pm module's index file from sec-fix 3 and there is absolutely no difference, makes no sense that one would work differently. |

Thanks guys, I think the problem was on my side, it's true chatserv those 2 files are the same. It's just weird that it wont send the emails to my hotmail account, but when I send it to my yahoo account I get it immediately |

If you are running your own server be aware that hotmail, AOL and others are blocking emails due to spam, people running their own server on Broadband powered pc's are likely to get bounced by them. |
