TheMuffinMan try requesting that your ISP install it for you. Other than that I am not really sure what else to suggest.
Good Luck!

it does works perfect for me (locally) but mi ISP (prodigy in mexico) its no willing to install for me the filter since its a share server and no a dedicated server, they think they r going to activate a service or somthing, actually the phone help line guys, they dont know what phpnuke its, they run both iss and apache (unix severs) when i was installing the nuke bundle i saw the iss extension for frontpage and i call and they told me that to run phpnuke i have to install it under the cgi folder. hahahaha also other guy told me that phpnuke its no suported by their server, i got it to work, i had a hard time because my project was started under apache, well letme resume it: prodigy sucks!!!! but the isapi rewrite for iss it works perfect, nice job |

i am having some problems with this system tring to get this to work.
I cant really explain whats going on so i think it would be easier for someone to look at it and try to explain the problem.
http://www.ctbenterprises.com
I am running iis 6.0
windows 2003
php 4.3.8
i downloaded the latest isapi_rewrite
ini file and the GT .4a

I disagree
The way it is posted I agree..and unfortunatly it takes way what the statement says
the contents of the post I agree with...I went thru it ages ago...ended up using apache...in retrospect I wasted a lot of time, patence, and hair quanity and colour.
I used apache without even knowing how to spell it correctly let alone what it was. Working with apache also solved so many other problems I was having with iis.
If just have a simple static html site iis is fine, anything more complex Apache.
One just has to run a google or forum searches anywhere for iis and it just comes up with ppl having problems with functions working
Run a similar on apache and the problems are simply having problems following instructions to get it intially installed and configured...these are sorted very simply within a couple posts, not pages of posts.
Thumbs up to open source and the guys behind it...respect. |

Look I can understand the furstration... well I have it up and running..
I am NOT using the next gen or google tap.. i believe that is part of the issue...
the installation instructions made ny NeXeh were (inconclusive) And i have spoke with him CLOSELY on this issue
the httpd.ini and dll should NOT be in the be in the Helicon folder
It should be in the system32/inetsrv folder so the Kernal has permissions to it.
Also you MUST add the the .dll as a web Extension in IIS as well ad just a filter in IIS.
I am currently running windows 2003 server enterpise with IIS 6.0 with phpnuke 7.7
Here is an example of it working at rewriting my index.php
http://area51portal.com/index.html
http://area51portal.com/index.asp
http://area51portal.com/index.jsp
http://area51portal.com/index.dhtml
http://area51portal.com/index.shtml
I am looking for someone to WORKWITH ME that can write regular expressions. once we have CLEANED UP the httpd.ini and have the installaction instrcutions corrected this willbe a great package...
And yes that comment was made by someone who didnt ask any questions, the just spat out anger... which I can unserstand, it does get frustration as it took me over a week to get this working... but still I didnt lash out...
Nexeh forgot to mention his site is using apache and the he he utilizing mod rewrite for his role playing site... this threw a lot of up php devolpers off track as far implementing the ISAPI with nuke... I have already scolded him on the issue and I hope this post will help you...
Now remember when you look at my site there is NO next gen or google tap installed modules in the site ANY WHERE...
I need to some help though, regular expressions are diffcult... I need these written for the httpd.ini |
