I'm having problems adding stories (here) and viewing some images. I assume that these issues are chmod-related, but I've found multiple resources that list various chmod settings. I've tried most of them to no avail, and I'm wondering if there's a true list of the proper chmod settings for all files and directories. Anyone?
To date I've tried the standard 777 for folders and 666 for files, as well as the suggestions in /docs/permissions2
Thanks |

A default Nuke install requires that you chmod all folders to 755 and files to 644, 777 is only required for add-ons for uploading files or images like galleries, 666 is only used when the file needs to be writable, in a default nuke install no file requires that. |

I recently audited mine since the move. Basically you can have a setup like this.
Run apache as "nobody:nobody". And then give all your directories and files for phpnuke a "750" setting. Those that need "770" are:
config.php
Those that need "777" are:
modules/Forums/images/avatars
That's it. |

@chatserv... I went thru my whole site and chmod'd everything again. I still can't post stories, nothing shows up at all. Any ideas?
@Zhen... Thanks for the tip- I'm running off another host, though. |

First I'd say disable the session.use_trans_sid in your php.ini. |

Nope... I choose a topic, leave the category as article, and choose "post story." Upon clicking 'ok' I'm returned to the admin menu. Under Last 20 Articles, nothing is listed. Under 'Home' I see a large blank space where Stories should be. I've even tried submitting stories from a regular user account- I submit them and nothing happens...
